In a child's face I see
How the world should be,
And when he smiles at me
I know I've answered a plea.

May I always listen
With love in my heart,
May it choose to glisten
With every dream I start.

Breakfast With Santa Foundation was founded 14 years ago by Maria de Fatima Esteves with the loving support of her husband Henry Esteves and her two best friends Janis Biondolillo and the late and beloved Maggie Steacy who was Maria's right hand and co-founder of the charity's Summer Breakfast Program.

Although only registered as a non-profit charitable organization in 2000, Breakfast With Santa Foundation was born Breakfast With Santa 23 years ago, in Oshawa, founded by Maria and her husband.

How does Breakfast With Santa Foundation work
We fill in the gap during the Summer months when school programs are non-existent. It provides the balanced nutrition children so desperately need. Often, it is the only meal a child receives during the day.

Breakfast With Santa Foundation gives children and their families the opportunity to experience Christmas celebrations by providing fun-filled mornings tailored just for them. All-you-can-eat buffet, entertainment, songs, carols, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a present to take home for Christmas morning, hope and memories to last them a lifetime

How is Breakfast With Santa Foundation responding to children's hunger
WHO WE SERVE:

Approximately 520 children and their families attend our four Christmas Breakfasts in December for a total of over 900 people.
An average of 110 children attend our daily Summer Breakfast Program in July and August.
Thanksgiving Dinner is enjoyed by 89 people - most never had a Thanksgiving meal.
Single parents unable to make ends meet.
Working families unable to meet the family's nutritional requirements.
Seniors on social assistance taking care of grandchildren.
New immigrant families unable to work in their profession and earning minimum wages.

Hopes for expansion
By expanding our programs we will be able to deliver hands-on experience and life skills to teens who, quite often have been given responsibilities beyond their years - working to pay the rent or caring for a parent who is disabled or ill with a life threatening illness. Skills will be developed in cooking, nutritional shopping, meal planning, budgeting, analytical thinking and self-reliance thus, empowering these children to know their future, too, can be bright and successful.
With our guidance, hope can be restored in these children's lives giving them a sense of belonging and accomplishment.
